Simply put, outdoor education changes lives. Spending time outside in a beautiful natural setting away from TV, video games and cell phones, students gain an appreciation for nature and the environment and are more likely to spend time outdoors. They participate in hands-on science and discover that not only is science fun, but they can do science, even in their own backyards. Students practice and develop important social skills such as meeting new people, making new friends, and working as a team. These fundamental skills ultimately help students become stronger citizens in their communities and more conscientious stewards of the earth. Your generous donation will help make it possible for students in need to attend Sly Park Environmental Education Center's outdoor education program.
